Licensure steps
Verified Jul 15, 2026- Earn a qualifying doctoral degree in psychology.
- Complete at least 1,500 hours of supervised professional experience to qualify for the EPPP.
- Pass the EPPP with a scaled score of 500.
- Complete 3,000 total hours of SPE, including at least 1,500 postdoctoral.
- Pass the California Psychology Laws and Ethics Examination (CPLEE).
- Submit the application and fees to the California Board of Psychology.
