The Board's own Exam Information page states the passing score is the ASPPB recommended pass point of 500 or better. OAC 575:10-1-2(n) phrases the same standard as 'at least the minimum pass point designated by the developer of the examination.' The rule text refers to the EPPP, 'all parts of the exam, as required by the Board'; the Board's public pages describe only the single objective EPPP and give no separate EPPP Part 2 (Skills) requirement, so no Part 2 requirement is asserted here.

Statute and rule frame this as two years of supervised professional experience, one of which must be postdoctoral; the Board expresses each year as 2,000 hours. Predoctoral internship: 2,000 hours (40 hrs/week for one calendar or academic contract year, or half-time for two years), and no more than 2,000 internship hours may ever be counted toward the two-year requirement; in an academic (school psychology) setting the figure is 1,500+ hours. Internship supervision must total at least 200 hours, of which at least 100 are individual (150/75 in an academic setting). Postdoctoral: 2,000 hours full-time (roughly 50 weeks) or 2,000 hours part-time over no more than three years, with 75 hours of regularly scheduled, formal, face-to-face individual supervision per twelve months. No more than 50% of required supervision hours may be conducted virtually.

Required

In-person only at the Board office in Oklahoma City (no online option); 120 multiple-choice questions, two hours to complete, passing score 70% or better. Content is the Rules of the Board, the Psychologists Licensing Act, the APA Code of Ethics and applicable Oklahoma Mental Health Law. Offered on roughly monthly scheduled dates starting at 10:00 am, scheduled by email after the Application Review Committee approves the application. The Board publishes free Jurisprudence Study Materials.

Fee: No fee for first-time candidates; $100 re-examination fee (check only)

One of exactly two required exam components alongside the EPPP (OAC 575:10-1-2(m)). Failing either component four times ends the application process; passing one component waives it on any later re-examination. Endorsement/reciprocity applicants must also pass the JP exam before a licence is issued. NO ORAL EXAMINATION is currently required: the Board's Exam Information page states that only the EPPP and the JP exam are required, and 575:10-1-2(m) lists two components. The statute, 59 O.S. § 1365, still permits one ('Written examinations may be supplemented by such oral examinations as the Board shall determine'), but the Board does not presently administer one.

1. Earn a doctoral degree in psychology from an APA-accredited program (or a program meeting one of the Board's narrow exceptions), including practica and an internship, with 42 graduate hours primarily psychological in content.
2. Complete a predoctoral internship of 2,000 hours and at least one postdoctoral year of 2,000 supervised hours, for two years of Board-satisfactory supervised experience.
3. Mail the Applicant Information Form, Citizens Affidavit, two passport photos, the applicable postdoctoral form and the non-refundable $400 application fee to the Board office.
4. Complete the ASPPB PLUS online application (a separate $200 ASPPB processing fee) and wait for the Board's Application Review Committee to approve you to sit for the exams.
5. Pass the EPPP at the ASPPB recommended pass point of 500 or better.
6. Schedule and pass the in-person Jurisprudence Examination at the Board office: 120 multiple-choice questions, two hours, 70% to pass.
7. Receive your licence, apply for Health Service Psychologist certification if you will independently provide health services, and renew annually before January 1 with the $400 renewal fee.

PSYPACT member

Under 59 O.S. § 1366(2), the Board may issue a licence without the EPPP to an applicant who is a diplomate of the American Board of Professional Psychology (ABPP), who holds a current ASPPB Certificate of Professional Qualification in Psychology (CPQ), or who is licensed as a psychologist by a state with which the Board has a formal written agreement of reciprocity. 59 O.S. § 1363.1 (effective Nov. 1, 2024) authorises the Board to enter such agreements where the other jurisdiction's requirements are substantially equal; the Board has a fully executed reciprocity agreement with the Texas Behavioral Health Executive Council. Endorsement/reciprocity applicants pay the same $400 fee, supply three references and out-of-state verifications, and must still pass the Oklahoma Jurisprudence Examination before licensure is issued. After committee approval an applicant may practise on the out-of-state licence for one year while completing Oklahoma requirements (59 O.S. § 1353(11)).
